The agent that represents Milan Jovanovic says his client is looking forward to his proposed transfer to Anfield.

Valencia, AC Milan and Juventus are amongst the clubs who have missed out to Rafa Benitez who is expected to land the 28-year-old on a free transfer when his contract with Standard Liege expires at the end of the season.

Zoran Stojadinovic said: "We have spoken with Rafa Benitez and he convinced us about his project for the club.

"Milan speaks the language and adaptation will not be a problem for him when he moves to England."

Less than a week ago Stojadinovic denied that an agreement was in place.

Meanwhile Marouane Chamakh is expected to sign a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal on Friday after rejecting the opportunity to sign for Liverpool.
