The agent that represents Andy Carroll says his client is happy at Liverpool, following speculation that Newcastle United are interested in re-signing him. Reports today claim that Carroll's former club Newcastle are willing to take the player back in a cut-price deal although such talk has been played down in the North East. KOPTALK sources insist that the player is available for transfer despite the club publicly backing him while agent Mark Curtis has said: "Andy is happy at Liverpool." It's worth noting that sources on our members website have been reporting details of meetings between Liverpool's Director of Football Damien Comolli and Newcastle's Derek Llambias over the last few weeks. Liverpool have an interest in Demba Ba but Comolli wouldn't need to put so much effort in because of the player's release clause which suggests there may be more to his visits. ====== KOPTALK hasn't been on form since July due to a serious illness in the KOPTALK family. The editor's mother is critically ill in hospital and this is naturally having an effect on our performance. The rest of the team is here as normal but without the 'Big Man' barking instructions and sparking a few debates, the place isn't the same. Most of you are aware of this. Thanks for your kind words of support and patience.
