Newspaper reports today claim that Liverpool are interested in signing Marseille striker Loic Remy. The 25-year-old is attracting interest from the Premier League with Tottenham very keen on the idea of recruiting him. Although reports are speculative, the local media on Merseyside who have strong links with the club, have also touched on the rumour. Earlier this week, the KOPTALK editor provided an update on our members website about the movements of Remy's agent. He said: "Frederic Guerra is on Merseyside. He represents Loic Remy. I can't see him dealing with Everton so he must be talking to us.
"He's checked into a hotel so he's not going to be in and out of the city in one day.
"My hunch? He's been in the UK to speak to Spurs and because of our previous interest in him he's having a passing chat with ourselves. If I was Comolli I'd be thinking 'no harm in that'.
"Personally I didn't expect Remy to be on the move until the summer. There is a release clause but I don't know what it is." ===== EXCLUSIVE: Comolli's Dutch jolly to discuss targets ===== KOPTALK hasn't been on form since July due to a serious illness in the KOPTALK family. The editor's mother is critically ill in hospital and this is naturally having an effect on our performance. The rest of the team is here as normal but without the 'Big Man' barking instructions and sparking a few debates, the place isn't the same. Most of you are aware of this. Thanks for your kind words of support and patience.
