As much as I'd like to see Rafa Benitez appointed, for reasons I explained yesterday, I'm not daft, I know he's an outsider based on current chatter. I would consider myself as levelheaded so I'm willing to explore the wider picture and look at the other candidates.

It won't come as a secret to most of you guys but if I was calling the shots at Anfield, I'd be on the phone to Rafa Benitez telling him to put down his iPad and get himself back in his office at Melwood. The man is a genius and shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentences as Roberto Martinez and Brendan Rodgers - two capable managers but still too much of a gamble for me. The way he was bombed out by the previous regime was disgusting. He is my chosen one.
