Is it true that in ireland you know its summer cos the rain turns warmer?
Seriously though, whats the best and worst counties to live in ireland? I know that there was once a government search party created in order to verify the existence of country longford? Are there any counties in ireland that acutally get any sun, like waterford for example?

believe it or not we do usually get baked for about 4 weeks in the year. (not in a drugs way)

down south, cork and kerry get more sun. there are certain parts of ireland that would depress you to suicide after about 5 minutes, but if you drive around you can find some amazing spots for sights, and also some great spots for nightlife.

galway is a good town to go out in. west coastal counties have some great sights.

dublin is where i am from and i love it, but i can understand peoples reasons for not loving it. by the way, its raining on and off today.

thanks for the info I know galway a bit and its lovely town or it was anyway - and i have driven through tiperary and wasn't 'impressed' but then thats normal lot of farmland there etc and no coastal views obvioulsy. Dublin i like for the pubs but I lived in london a long time so I find it a bit 'small'.

Worse is the drive ot the boat if you have to go through wales - nothing against wales but my god it is bleak

galway is great for live music and i believe the film festival is on down there on an annual basis.

tipperary actually used to house irelands most high profile festival, the tripp to tipp. it was mucky but it was the business.

Wexford/Waterford for the sun and er strawberries,Galway/Kilkenny for the craic, all along the west coast from Donegal down as far as Cork is a great drive,Clare is the bomb, the burren, spanish point, cliffs of moher and the ferry to kerry.

It pisses rain 74.687% percent of time, the rest is just plain cold.

I'm from Dublin and the nightlife out on the town is great. Galway Carlow and Kilkenny are particularly good spots to head out for good nightlife too, been out in them a lot.
