Commolli has certainly upped the pressure on the manager and the team with the prices HE has paid for what are clearly now flops by and large.
One could argue that if they would have been low million pound punts they wouldn't have been in the team as much (or Kenny under the pressure to play them) would have had the offers flatly refused by the clubs and not been here, or not had the mental pressures ludicrous price tags can bring. All have added to the situation we find ourselves in.
That in no way exonerates Kenny from being the one who picks the team and how they play or having some part in selecting the players they have gone after.
It is quite obvious though that in regard the first team Commolli quite clearly has no idea to the value a player should cost and that is enough for me that he should be dismissed as of yesterday. His wheelings and dealing have been a disaster zone.
I really don't get this kind of thinking. For 5/6 years we spoke about how we just need to get the managers first choice players regardless of value. Now we blame the guy who does exactly that? Not for me mate.
Manager wants a player, you do everything you can to get that player. If he costs 35 million you say, are you sure you want the player that much? Manager says yes, you get that player.
I personally see blaming comolli because we paid a lot of money as reaching for another scape goat.
