Taking away from Lain's nibbles thread to start your own ey Growls!!!

Champion and a nice n easy birra grub there, beans on toast!

But I hope yah mean Heinz beans now growls, none of this bachelors stuff! and yup agree with Lumba there, no marmite!

I haven't had this since I was a child, but I haven't eaten well this week, just about managing tea and dry toast since Monday, shed a few pounds too by the looks of it!!

Got in last night from work....1 beef oxo cube, dissolved in boiling water, and then 2 or 3 slices of buttered fresh bread for dipping! YUM!

Oxo and bread was horrific, although nothing was as bad as the sandwiches they gave us in school, except on wednesdays when you got buns.

Good GOD, they were scandolous! Corned beef, and then cheese!! Feckin rank they were. Although the buns were loveley when fresh. I used to bring mine home and put butter on them and have it with a cup o scald!

I heard now the kids get chocolate muffins and fruit!

bovril / marmite , are they not the same thing?

never tried it but always associated the two.
