I know alot of people on here would like to see kenny go but i'd prefare him to stay to see if his plans work out. As you said Stan there is no guarantee a new manager would fair any better. Fsg obviously know what goes on behind closed doors and may be prepared to carry on backing kenny for the time being.
Btw I've no problem fsg questioning kenny on anything as that's their job to do the best for the club along as they don't try to force the managers hand. Absolute lunacy, and one of the daftest comments I have ever read. If my boss ever decides to sack me, shall I tell him that there is no guarantee that my replacement will do any better?!? People get sacked for missing their targets and/or for underperforming. A calculated risk is then made on their replacement - how do you think kenny got the job in the first place?

I think if we win the FA cup (Hopefully) Kenny will not be removed and will be given an extra season and to be fair, I don't think anyone can argue with that winning those two trophies. His objective was to reach 4th in the league. That target was set for financial purposes. Winning a domestic pot or 2 is a mere drop in the ocean financially and should have no bearing on his future. All kenny has proved is that he is good in the cups and poor in the league. Why would next season be any different if we keep him? Financially we NEED the CL, hence the objective. To be fair we were never good in cups under the previous two managers, getting knocked out early in the 3rd rounds to lower opposition was always a hard pill to swallow. Kenny needs better players, he spent a lot but his players are not good enough sadly and that is why I think he can improve on the league with more quality plus add the good things he brings to the cup completions and we could have a very good season if given time.

Snakeye you seem very sure of what FSG will do. I know what I would do and its not impossible they would conclude the same as me. Kenny retire end of this season. But it could go the other way with them allowing him another season. We know very little about FSG other than what we have gleaned from the Redsox which is a totally different situation. I think deep down FSG feel Kenny was forced on them by fan pressure and ultimately he will go to be replaced by their choice the thing we don't know is when. Not at all stan, no one knows whether he will be removed or given a second chance. What I said is purely on gut feeling. I would definitely give him a fresh season considering the success we have had in the cups. As I said in my earlier post, he needs quality surrounding the team alongside Suarez and co in order to improve on the league position. That's not what he was asked to do though. He was told to qualify for the CL and must be judged on how close he was to target.

Did Roy do better than rafa? Have any chelsea managers done better than jose? Is connor doing better than mc carthy? No! Think before you speak, a new manager does not mean instant success.
