They have been clear from the off that they want players coming though and making marquee signings each season. This is the most important transfer window in about 3 years now, downing, Henderson, Carroll and Adam have made the squad stronger, along now with sterling, suso, Cody, coming in. It's time for some high quality signings. Maybe two this window

I disagree with this thinking. Over 100 million was SPENT. That is just a fact by the definition of spent. 37 million was invested. There is a difference between the two, and both figures are important depending the on the context of the argument.

Every transfer window is important now, last years was the most important as Kenny had over 100 million to spend. I don't think we are gonna get another crazy 50 million for one of our players to put back into the squad. A real missed opportunity. We need top level players now to improve our first 11.

They 'spent' over £100m no matter how you want to disguise the fact. If I sold my TV for £100 and bought a new one for £600, I still spent £600!! In fact, I spent £600 PLUS the loss made on my previous purchase as I still only have 1 TV, but how far back do you want to go to try and paper over the mistakes in order to some way try and justify p!ss poor business decisions?

Let's not try and hide the humungous management errors - let's just accept that we fvcked up big time and that it needs to be put right.

Did you mean to reply to me about that? Because you are agreeing with what I said not disagreeing.

Either that, or players already at the club now improve significantly, and we sign the realistic players mentioned.

I gave those players because they are realistic, I think they're likely to happen. Regardless of what we want or think.

Out of arguably all of those players mentioned, Defoe, Moses, Zaha, Christian Rodriguez, Muniain, Lugano and Godin. With a push, I'd take one, maybe two.

Muniain is a gamble, a good player yes, but he is shining in a team where everyone plays for one another. Would he want to leave Basque? Atletico Bilbao players are different beasts, They are loyal to the club. They don't sign many players, they promote and coach from within.

Zaha would also be the other, even that is a risk. Arguably bigger. He'd come under the same pressure as the other players we've bought under the strategy to buy young British, as a result, he would be hit with the same stick.

Christian Rodriguez is likely to happen, simply because he is a left winger, Uruguayan and friends with Luis Suarez. It'll be one of those "for the sake of it"

Muniain is going to be incredible. He is the real deal. If we sign him and only one other player, I'd still be happy.

And please, no Zaha, Moses, or Defoe for me. We already tried the "buy English" thing and it more or less failed miserably.

Haha my fingers were ready to type in outrage too :P

On those players. I truly hope we don't sign any of them. They would take a club forward currently. We need first team players right now.
