i agree with you about anyone coming to the door though. i find myself getting quite militant these days. did you see the latest polls? shinners are doing terrific. i think we might be entering a phase where we need a very "irish" political party at the helm to get us out of this mess.

Yes,they are "Irish" but they are clueless at the back of it all,they make a lot of noise and use a lot of sound bites,we need good honest politicians who aren't in it for the money,thought Labour might have been going that way but they went for the power hungry option instead.

Sinn Fein might do a good job in local politics,I wouldn't like to see them run a country though.

Welcome to Liverpool. You will be as happy as a sandboy very good looking women who scrub up well. Brilliant pubs, fantastic seafront and loads of local history. Make sure you learn about the city in the local museum including the museum of Liverpool. The city centre is safe but outlying areas you have to be careful but coming from NE I expect you know to watch for that sort of thing. Get on the train to Manchester too another great City.
