no way. rafa took 3 yrs before he admitting he was wrong to change the line-up by 5 or 6 players each game, refused to adress the zonal marking issue though it clearly was a problems for the defenders. players like skrtel were a disaster under him and would freak out if he came back.

Nobody is backstabbing Kenny, KP. I believe majority of us can see that as much as he's trying his best, he just doesn't have the tactical acumen to succeed in the modern game.

As much as you say others are back-stabbing kenny, you're also constantly back-stabbing Rafa with your 'toxic baggage' comment about him. Rafa had integrity and did his best for the club under difficult circumstances. For that, I'll always respect him. By the way, I still think that he's one of the best tacticians out there.

The only positive i can think of if Rafa comes back is getting some cool stuff. I'm from California, coverage blows pretty hard here and i'm still in school, so traveling to watch a game at the moment is pretty unlikely. However, my Spanish teacher from high school is friends with Rafa, so when he visits every year in the spring he usually brings me something nice back.

What's wrong with zonal marking system? I remember we had one of the best defences and least goals conceded for a few years running under rafa's system? And they were still the same defenders today bar enrique.

And how many stupid goals have we conceded this season using man-marking from dead ball situations? Is man-marking really better than zonal. Go figure.

Perhaps the problem with skrtel was carragher, not rafa. Is it any coincidence that skrtel started playing well when paired with agger?

Yeah - Rafa's famed man-management skills served us well....

I'd happily sacrifice skrtle and carragher if it meant getting back a CL winning manager that almost won us the premier league title.

Skrtel has got a bit better with age and adapting to the league - I don't think it's got much to do with anything else.

I am gonna be sensible and objective here and agree with Rafarendum's last post. I might not get along with him but I couldn't have put it better myself. Kenny makes the same mistakes Rafa made but lacks Rafas tactical prowess.
