This is the only type of manager we can bring in sadly. None of the top managers in the world would want to get their hands dirty to try to get us to where we were. The only top manager out of a job is Rafa and the fans are heavily divided with him so I don't think FSG will go that route again.

disagree,

we are a massive club and would be ( a real coup on the cv) really attractive to a top boss as a challenge to win the league for the 1st time in ages.

I agree with your thinking to a point, but sacking kenny and appointing an unproven manager will turn the fans against the owners/new manager. We will be heading back down memory lane. It will be as if Roy never left.

Also in my opinion, (prolly just a fairy tale lol) I think we would see Suarez leave after all the backing he has received off kenny, he owes him

Martinez is a good young, hungry to do well manager and this is the type of road I think we should be looking at going down. I think we have had all the rest old iconic players Souness, Dalglish the old bot room Roy Evans, Master tacticians in Gerard Houllier, foreign manager with recent success in Rafa Benitez and current manager's of the year with Roy Hodgson none have worked so why not give somebody like Martimez a go, what do we have to lose.

Just for the record, no so called world class manager would touch us with the proverbial sh1tty stick with the way our fans behave regarding things they dont like, it's a posion chalice of a job.

We have a massive fan base. That's it. We aren't a successful club, haven't been for a long while

i really like Martinez, id love him to come in and make us a force again.

but i would be really shocked if we made that move. it would be a massive gamble.

Jammer the fact that you buy and read the people speaks volumes. But for the record I think Martinez would be a good call. Watched him being interviewed after the Blackburn he has visably grown in stature. The respouces at Wigan are almost nil yet he has kept them up and played very attractive football. I would have no problem at all with him coming to Liverpool. By the way Jammer any good pictures on the inside pages in this weeks edition woaarhh look at that pair. No wonder you come up with the stuff you do about the king if thats how you spend your sunday monday. I read the times by the way and drink filtered coffee not that instant rubbish.

The story hasn't been picked up anywhere reputable so it isn't a Kenny or Martinez are the only options situation.

IF martinez is appointed, it's clear the owners want mid table. I don't think it's the right appointment but seeing as you have literally no idea what type of manager we will be bringing in. I still think kenny should go, I don't think we will, I think they will keep him, as it will cost to fire him, but I think he definitely deserves to go.
