I think the fact that we're interviewing as many people as possible is equally dramatic. It suggests we don't have a clue what we're looking for; playing the field, so to speak. Much like our transfer activity last summer, some might say. "Get some guys who create chances, and a left back." Well we did that, but it didn't exactly work out in the first 12 months. Now we're like, "Get a manager". Will some random bloke be any better than Dalglish?
There are only 4 serious candidates for this job, quite frankly, as most rule themselves out due to present commitments or a lack of desire to stoop to taking on the Liverpool job. Those 4 are Klopp (unlikely), Benitez (some fans will have a field day, as will the press), AVB (young, adventurous, puts out unplayable teams in Portugal, EPL experience with a top club), and Capello (highly experienced and successful as a club manager, but may take time to adjust, oh, and the English hate him). If we're looking outside these 4 but at experienced winners ala Hiddink, Deschamps et al then ok, but if we're serious about Championship managers INSTEAD of any of these people then I wonder about our owners' sanity.

Its not about interviewing 12 mangers that suggests we have no clue, it will depend on who we are interviewing. I mean Martinez is a decent manager, however if we keep on interviewing managers with limited credentials Rodgers is another example, then it will show we are desperate.

pep told us no already, i would say martinez first asked, first in. plus a favourite is usually a fav cause some board director mentioned it to some journo or another. lol! Benitez has been asking for years - way ahead of Martinez in the chronological queue. Just cos you creamed yourself when he was linked with an interview doesn't mean he's anyone else's favourite. And the director who leaked it was the chairman at Wigan. So much for your theory.
