Personally not too bothered. At the end of the day, it has things to do with him, its not like he is at a club that all this doesnt effect. He wants things moving allong cos he has a job to do should Martinez go.
He wont be thinking about what you think about it, he will be keeping his fans in the know at the same time as hoping it hurries Liverpool along or even in hope that FSG give his friend Martinez what he wants from his deal as a parting gift.
FSG will now be aware that their plans are public in terms of not having the manager run certain aspects of the job at hand....maybe

Martinez you make him sound like Gandhi

He is trying to get the best possible compensation package for his club if his current manager leaves.

He does not have the best wishes of Liverpool Football Club at heart.

He is making private conversations public and that is mischief making.

If we give Martinez the job then we won't have to deal with him again and that will stop his endless pontificating.

seriously, of course he doesn't care about lfc...this is ridiculous.if barca asked for permission to speak to our manager and we gave it but didn't tell the fans out of consideration to barca we would all do a nut..he is wigans chairman, he has to tell them . everytime a manager under contract gets permission to speak to a club everyone knows about it..the only problem here is lfc fans don't want martiniz so didn' actually want to hear the words permission to speak to. what whelan done was normal .

FSG are not going to give him full control- so lets see if he is a man of principle and declines the job.

I really dont get this 'managers not having control of transfers', if a manager has a vision for his team, then he needs to be free to bring in who he wants to fit into that vision, not just to be given a player that fits into someone else's vision because that player either wont get played, or will be played in a way that isnt suited to him.

thas the problem with DOF ,don't know why fsg are so into it..i suspect cause they see it as a money maker, bring young sell high. its never going to work in the prem, the rumours are that martinez will settle for final say on players.still a problem for me cause how hard is a DOF going to push for a martinez player if the DOF fancies someone else or gets a bigger bonus by signing a different player..its murky.
