I think the sooner everybody who still has something against Torres admits that your actually still gutted that he left us in the lurge the sooner these Torres threads would stop poppin' up. He gone, get over it peeps.
I still like Torres. HE played superbly for us, scored a huge amount of goals in the time he was here, and then he coudl see we weren't heading in the right direction under Hodgson or Dalglish and so he left and we got 50m for him. Why be against him?
Bang on! disgraceful thread to start poster should be ashamed of themselves. Torres was one of the best players I have ever seen at Anfield at his best it was a privaledge to see him play.
Dalglish was the best ever and it did not stop many on here slagging him off(you included Stan) Torres is fair game. Also Torres is irrelevant to LFC and will be forgotten like Collymore was in 2/3yrs times. He was here for 4 seasons but only really played well in two of them - good riddance i say

Very important diffence CP1972 the orginal poster was slagging off Torres ability as a footballer. I think you will find all my critisim of Dalglish was as a manager. I agree we only got so many good seasons from Torres but that applies to all fottballers you could say the dsame about Fowler / Barnes.

Torres is a classic false idol. Never won us anything and to be honest he rarerly has won anything for all his talent, noting at Athletico and Liverpool. He is in the squad (Chelsea FA CUP and champs final, Spain W/C Final) but for his ability never first name down on the list - so never really trusted to take the lead role.2008 euro winner apart. for a 10yr career for supposidely the 'worlds best' is very average. Not a big game player.
