Very subjective, as some of the best sportsmen are not media friendly and dont come across well in front of the camera. Depends on generation too
1 Lewis hamilton 2 Tiger woods 3 Nigel Mansell 4 Stephen hendry 5 Mark Lawrenson (consistently boring on field and off) You call a man who constantly gets 'holes in one' boring? a man who was nearly heated to death by a golf club.

Andy Murray without a shadow of a doubt.
I cannot stand Toffis (I mean TENnis) hence the reason I ain't watched any of it. Strawberry's and cream, a royalty box and a boring crap Scot Tennis player getting his arse run around all over the court by somebody with a bit of go. Every year. Without fail.
All to the tune of "Come on Andy!" sung by a bunch of posh toffs.
Love it. Andy Murray is actually an decent guy, I watch a lot of tennis, off the field he is quiet shy, its not really his fault.

great minds think a like. Andy Murray is worse than watching paint dry or watching cricket on loop. The man is about as dry as an old womens crusty big toe.

i find ray Wilkins as pure boredom Steven Gerrrad takes some beating, he is supposed to play for the Club he supported, has a decent looking wife and gets paid 150k a week into his bank account win, lose or draw yet he is the most misearble feller.

Very true. Seems permanently depressed & disinterested. I think he leaves his personality at home when he's workking.

Lawrenson's commentary is hilarious.
I love when he has a go at the ref when they give silly fouls.
In one game he said "I could swear" after a poor referee decision, his PC co-commentator nearly through a fit and [oops] himself.
DONT DO THAT! I'm prepared to bet my house that you are the first person to label mark lawrenson as 'hilarious'! You just lost your house because I've thought Mark Lawrenson was hilarious for years!

pathetic the way Andy Murray cried after losing to the Fed at Wimbledon yesterday. a real sissy boy. Exactly. Still, I can see most will vote him BBC sports personality of the year for that, and I'll laugh at them because they're all goldfish memoried softies, who wouldn't know what a personality is, because they don't have one themselves. Sports personality for what? For crying? The worlds gone mad! He'll get it to! You just know it! If he'd have won the thing, you could bet that he would have been made a Sir or a Lord. Lord Andy Murray! I feel dirty now.

Andy Murray just in the wrong era, do you know how hard it is to win a grand slam with the likes on Djocovic, Nadal and Federer to contest against? Since Federer's first grand slam win, only 4 players other than Nadal, Federer and Djocovic has won a grand slam, and since 2003 its only been those three that have won Wimbledon, Murray has done well to get himself into 4 grand slam finals, including Wimbledon, its far better than any British players have done over the past 70 years. So give the guy some credit, and yes for fcks sake he is human like everyone else, and cries like everybody else.

Well the english have enough of a reputation of being cry babies (after gazza 1990 hard to get rid of tag) And i think beckham (who was in the crowd) the plank probably shed a few when he was sent off. I didn't mind him crying at all but he is a bit insular for a lot of people, having not been able to acknowlege federer's performance preferring to blubber cos he lost. At least he is honest i guess you can see he is a bad loser, but best chance we have of winning anythhing Yeah he should have tried to say a bit about Federer's genius, because after the 1st set, Federer was out of this world.
