It's a dream come true for me having been supporting the team for 22 years. I know we're up against Arsenal on the 2nd Sept and I know it's going to be damn difficult to get a ticket for the game.

It's going to be next to zero chance of me getting a ticket from the official website. And even if I can afford to pay the cut-throat price of the hospitality ticket, they require me to have some kind of validation code or something. It's quite confusing.

Could any kind soul give some advice on what's the best way to get a ticket for the game?

If I was coming all that way I would make sure I got a ticket. Don't entirely agree with Faz point getting tickets outside the ground I have sold my spare season ticket on 2 to 3 occassions when my mate could not make it. There are genuine people hang around ticket office before game or near arkles and keep asking. Otherwise I can't believe you can get one from official sources and if you pay a bit more so what its a trip of a lifetime. I would think you would get one from ticket office anyway as nobody has any money anymore in the UK. But if all else fails then go to the ground take in the stmosphere and watch the actual game in the Sandon which is by the Kop. But like I said there is no way I would travel half way round the world and not watch the game I would get a ticket by hook or by crook.
the majority are spives selling ticket charging 70-80 quid for a game like wigan and they are forged tickets

Well I sold my season ticket which is electronic for £30.

They had to come in with me so if I was trying to swindle them then I would have got a smack on the chops. It is possible to get tickets they are not all conmen. The only problem those people who bought from me was they had to sit with me. I moan and whine about everything especially, especially King Kenny. Incidently every time I have ever bought from a tout (I would never do it now too mean) its always been ok even Wembley once. (1988 Sob!) Maybe I was just lucky. But you need to use your judgement but if I came all that way I would chance it personally.

Thanks Stan. Any idea what my chances of getting a Cat A game would be like if I were to apply for membership? I think I would have to call in if I'm not wrong...
