I think he will be a decent signing. But lots of players find it hard to make the jump in standards to a club like liverpool. I thought Robbie Keane was going to be a good player for us but he could not make the leap. Hopefully it will be different with Dempsey.

Agreed, i think borini will hit the ground running , dempsey may struggle to live up to this rather sudden reputation he has of being a world beater, would have preferred maxi to stay, having said that to replace kuyt dempsey will be a sensible buy if it happens

Stan, it was clear that keane wasn't a benitez signing and he never really got a fair crack at it. I think rafa could be a bit of a bollix when he wanted to be. I remember he had keane warming up for part of. the 1st half and the whole 2nd half and didn't bring him on? Keane was a pawn in a bigger battle.
Hopefully that'll never happen in LFC again.

Yeah I hope it's true, but even if Clint Dempsey signs for us, I still have this nagging feeling that none of Suarez, Dempsey or Borini are out and out goal machines. They are all more in the playmaker mould, than out and out strikers, perhaps their combined weight will do the trick. However I can't shake off this awful dread that we will be unable to drive through and/or around all those pesky parked buses we are going to find littered across the box in Anfield this coming season. Maybe I'm still suffering from post traumatic stress as a result of the enormous trauma we sustained in front of goal last season, or maybe I've shipped some of those nasty germs of negativity that 'comes dropping slow' from some posters on this site.
Oh by the way Aldo, you're a medical student, can you possibly diagnose and perhaps prognosticate with a view towards a positive prescription for this dropsy like condition? Thanks Doc
