How do you work that one out!?! We struggled to get out of a really easy group only scoring 2 goals in process. We played a total of 4 games and won just the 1. As far as Heskey's contribution goes:

He got subbed in the first 2 games and in the only game we managed to win, he didn't even start - he came on for the last 3 minutes so he is input was negligible. In our final game of the tournament he came on for the last 20 minutes.

So....at the world cup 2010:

Heskey started 2 games and came on as a sub in 2 games. We scored 3 goals throughout the entire tournament - none of them were by Heskey and neither were any of the assists.

If houllier was at LFC today he'd probably even have signed henderson!

Maybe he was englands best player because he did so little to contribute that he he isn't tarnished by how [oops] england were in 2010? That's the only way I can work it out.
