Heskey was a very poor, over priced striker. Carroll is a very poor, EXTREMELY over priced striker. Neither should have ever been anywhere near the home dressing room at anfield.

I think your only remembering the bad of Heskey there. He was over priced at that time as well but not lets forget his successful partnership with Owen where they scored many.

He had one good campaign, I'll give you that. But so did marcus stewart and many other one-season wonders. Heskey's good season was totally out of character - the mother of all purple patches if you like. Didn't he go 37 games without a goal on one occasion? Class players don't do that. And Owen would have scored bags of goals whether heskey was there or not - he always has done.
