This version has a few extra quotes from Henry.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jul/20/brendan-rodgers-liverpool-champions-leagueincluding:
"We know more now than we did when we bought the club," Henry
told the Liverpool Echo. "We didn't know a lot at the start. We have had something like 20 months to study and learn and this is really the direction we want to go in.
Basically I read that as they didn't really have a clue when they bought the club and were probably relying on advisors. Whoever those advisors were (Purslow? Parry? Ayre?) helped them to make a mess of their first 12-18 months.
Now I'm not sure that he should have said this publicly. Hopefully the players don't slack thinking we only need to achieve 5,6 or 7 just to show improvement on last season.
