im watching him in a match right now, he was very quiet in the first half until he scored a decent free kick from about 30 yards out. if LFC loses out to spurs for this player would push us to a new low. we can understand with Sidg because he isnt that great but gaston is a player thats very good, and i cant see a reason why he would choose tot over us, unless he believes they are a better club. LFC transfer tactics needs to change they dont want to over pay to the clubs for "certain" players and they dont want to pay players expensive wages we are in a jam for the past 3 years so getting top players based off our competitive form is out of the question so what do we offer these players that other teams wont, atlast tot realised this and decided to give the players decent wages to keep them put. Im all about showing players that no player is bigger than the club but you normally have to in a position to do that and LFC isnt. so they need to sacrifice something to get their man, if not we will forever be getting average players. This. The time when everyone wanted to come to LFC has come and gone. For the next few years at least, we will be behind the Manchesters and Chelsea in terms of opportunities for trophies and fat wages. And we don't have the Champions League football or the attraction of living in London that Arsenal and Spurs can provide. But we can offer a few things. First and foremost, playing time. It sounds silly, but having a weaker squad could potentially be to our advantage. I think all but the greediest mercenaries would rather start for us than sit on the bench somewhere else. I mean look at Chelsea. Yes, they have a lot of great attacking options in Hazard, Mata, Marin, and Oscar, but how on earth are they all going to play together? At least one of those players will be on the bench, and at least one will be playing out of position. You could even say the same thing about Spurs. I really don't see how AVB would fit Gylfi, Van der Vaart, possibly Modric, and maybe Allen and Ramirez into the same team. We, on the other hand, have a lot of places up for grabs. The only guaranteed starters outside of defense are Lucas, Suarez, and Stevie. I think we have a lot to offer players, we just need to pull our fingers out and start signing people.

i agree, i think sterling and suso especially could be good under brendan, his type of players. pacheco also impressed me during pre season i think stering needs to be loaned out, hes not ready he contributed to our sole goal against toronto but it was more luck to me, whenever he gets the ball he lacks patience to make the right pass or move to get around his man, pachecco as beaten more men outwide than sterling. Suso on the other hand is completely ready, the fact that he changes the play from wing to wing without a mistake and his passing choices are 99% always right he dribbles attacks the spaces which LFC lacks, i think the risk should be taken with him more than sterling. Sterling has little competition for the winger position so he stands out, Suso is competing with stevie hendo adam aquilanie shelvey and still stands out, that means something, dont you think
