Are we sure about Pacheco? We always loan him out to lesser clubs and never seems to get much game time at all.

A bit harsh on Aqua. He's never really been given a chance and I personally think the club have treated him pretty badly. I just hope we don't loan him out again. We need to just sell him on now or keep him and give him the chance he should have had in the first place.

We weren't naming a squad - we were merely remarking on who should make it from our secondary players.

I think Cole has made an effort and played reasonably well in the last couple of games. Aqualani has shown touches and the latest speculation is so far just rumours. I think Pacheco and Shelvey have been our best two players over the three games - and if we loan them out then BR will be making the same mistake Kenny and Roy did at the start of the last two seasons. Neither of them recovered after loaning out better players than the ones they signed.

The young players that impressed me on tour where

1st - Shelvey
2nd - Sama
3rd - Sterling

I would have those three in the squad, plus, they dont count towards the 25 places because they are young

I wouldnt have any other young players in the squad yet but down the line I can see Morgan, Ibe, Suso, Mcloughlin and Wisdom being included

Shelvey has impressed me more than anyone else during pre-season. He is certainly ready for the 25-man squad, if not a place in the starting XI. If we don't sign Allen or some other creative midfielder, I think a midfield of Shelvey-Gerrard-Lucas is more than adequate.

Sama has also looked very good. He is a physical specimen to be sure, which will serve him well in the Premier League. I think Danny Wilson is really well-suited to BR's system, but if Sama can improve his distribution he may be a better option.

Sterling obviously merits inclusion. He must have BR questioning what the point of Downing is.

Aside from those obvious few, I think Pacheco deserves a chance. Suso is probably just as talented, but he still plays too many long balls. He needs a few more months to learn BR's system and improve his decision-making in general. I think a 1/2-season loan move might suit him well. Pacheco appears to have improved since the last time I saw him, so unless/until we sign a creative midfielder like Ramirez that would do a better job, he's probably worth a shot.
