I just spoke to someone, who says that he knows a few people down London who have a family member who works at Fulham (he told me about Rodallega going there months ago) and that Fulham are interested in getting Charlie Adam as apart of the Clint Dempsey deal, BUT this is the "interesting" part, they are also interested in signing Stewart Downing as well as, in a separate deal.

Take it or leave it, but he was correct about Rodallega.

Maybe but player exchanges are a rarity in the English game.

From what I can make out, Liverpool will offer money (don't know the details of that) and Charlie Adam for Dempsey. Fulham want to much money at the moment for Dempsey and Liverpool aren't bowing down to valuations like they were last season.

It's my opinion why we aren't sign sealing and delivering deals as quick as we were. Liverpool are being more methodical now, and rightly so after the money blew by Comolli and Kenny, thats why Borini wasn't straight away and neither is/will be Joe Allen.

But Fulham are interested in Downing as well, in a separate deal. That's what I was told, and like I say, he told me about Rodallega, at the time it meant f*ck all to me, but it turned out to be correct.

I really hope we can get a deal done for Dempsey, I just think he will bring a lot of creativity to our midfield and can also play as a striker and we don't have many of those. He may be not a top tier player but I just feel he will bring a lot to Liverpool and help us on our quest to get back into the champions league. Charlie Adam has been disappointing, as much as I want to give him another season to prove me wrong I would not mind seeing him go the other way as long as we don't get robbed again with an audacious fee.

4M + adam would be fair for dempsey. but i wouldn't be to bothered if we went as high as 6M + adam. anything more than that then we should move on.

15million for dempsey is max i'd pay

or 17m + adam

6 mil plus adam would be fine by me. Free up the wage bill and replace mediocrity with grit and quality.

Why is everybody suggesting a £number + Adam for Dempsey?? This is crazy talk... Only last season everyone was saying £10 max I'd pay for Adam, he could be a great player for us, he could be our Alonso, and now apparently he's part of a deal to bring a 29 year old player who had 1 1/2 good seasons at Fulham with 1 year left on his contract. Dempsey is a good player and would do well at LFC but only to buy him straight up with cash. To hang a current Liverpool player out to dry like that after one season is ridiculous. I hope Charlie Adam stays and proves to be the player he can be in a more settled team under BR. Dempsey in and Adam to stay. IF we sign Joe Allen then BR can consider selling Adam on but we need the cover first.

jees fellas, Fuham only want 6mil as he is at end of contract. So Adam is now worth less than 1million or even nothing? some of you even suggesting 10mil +Adam for Dempsey.

Some of you have had the gaul to call Commolli and Dalglish for their negotiations -you guys are laughable in comparison

its been mentioned several times on goal and in the papers so give or take not too far off I suggest. Hence the reason Fulham want a player rather than cash, an unloved player is cheaper than trying to buy from somebody else. straight swap for Adam would be a good deal
