From the FA website:

Denies an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by an offence punishable by a free kick or penalty kick = 1 Match

So he will only miss the game against Liverpool/Man City next week.

Correct. It's a plus that he'll only miss one game. Ironic that it's gonna be the City game...

If we appeal we won't win, they only overturn the ref's decision if he made an obvious mistake. I hope from now on we defend a bit deeper. It seemed like our only way to stop them running past us was to push them off the ball. After 2-0 we could have had far more cards than we did if their players had gone to ground.

Last man, denying a goal scoring opportunity is definitely a red card. We would look stupid to appeal that.
