Why?
Because getting beat handedly early in the season shows our frailties while the window is still open.
Because we got woke up on the first day and now have to work out the summer cobwebs.
Because it's clear that youngsters like Sterling, Pacheco and Suso played better football than what we saw today from the so called seniors.
Because now we don't have to hear "it's gonna be our year this year" trotted out.
Because it keeps BR honest and working hard.
Because it might embarrass and anger a few players and spark them into life. Gerrard/Downing/Borini and our defense were all poor.
Because teams that start of badly (Spurs were hammered in their first game last year) often turn it around.
Because we'll be up for the next game against City - and we always play better against top opposition
