is not about signing new world class players before the transfer window closes as many have suggested.

Rather, I think it's more to do with the system that we're playing. I struggle to think how we could have played much better if we had better players in the side but with the same system.

Rafa has said it a few times - that despite tiki taka being the beautiful way of playing as demonstrated by barca, it's better to win games effectively rather than doing it the fancy way. For rafa, the foundation always starts from the defence and clean sheets. That's why we regularly got clean sheets under him and were always the team with least goals conceded. Have a good defensive system first before we improve the other areas of the team.

But under BR, we look totally porous in defence. We're like an accident waiting to happen when we pass the ball behind and teams start pressing high on us. I can see us conceding lots of goals this season due to loss of possession in our defence. Mark my words on this. For BR to get his system working, he's got to lay the defensive foundations right first. Without that, we'll be the next joke of the EPL come May.

You have a point very fancy passing for no end result. But its one game. If you look at Rodgers history he is a very fast learner. Fancy passing plus end result = max happy red fans. Second part is work in progress. Give it two months and lets see where we are then.

we are a joke we have a squad capable of finishing top 4 but for some reason the players dont seem to look bothered it also doesnt bode well when carroll cant get a game above the most shocking player @ liverpool in joe cole we could be on 0 points 5 games into the season that is not the liverpool way .

exactly the point i was making b4 the season started.tiki taka is the way to go but its very hard to do, skittles will struggle with it every day of his life. you have to have the players to do it. so Br needs time to get it right. he won't get it though, not on ur nelly. 5 defeats in a row, which is more than possible would be panic stations. u can't expect BR to change his thinking cause of 1 defeat, he wouldn't be much of a manager if he did. but u knows this club, he will be out the door if things don't improve soon.
