Fair enough geds red take your point on city taking our place. But let's be honest we have been so far off the pace the last couple of years we wouldn't have made top four anyway. Nevertheless these days it is going to be much more difficult. If BR does make LFC top four within the next year or two it will be one hell of an achievement.
I think the difference people have with my view is because we both look at football now in different ways. I think when you are mid table or towards the top 6 or 7 you can move up and down places by having better players or a better manager than your rivals however when you get to the top four of City, Arsenal, Chelsea and United it does'nt work in the same way, you have to match them pound for pound plus the fact when you sign or develop a good player one of the big boys will take him off you like Torres went and maybe soon to be Agger. I honestly dont think this team as good as even the one from about 3 seasons ago which finished seventh and the squad is even much weaker in numbers, I just cant fathom how people figure on fourth especialy when the top four look stronger than ever and we also have a worse team than Spurs and Newcastle at present and a have a resurgent Everton on our coat tails to contend with too, lowest amount of home wins, last season, lowest goals scored in a season last season and lowest points tally in about 60 years tells it's own story and how much work is needed, one season wont fix that no way.
