I would have replacing him as 2nd choice after a striker myself

He isn't an easy target but as a senior member of the squad and as one of the 'so called' top keepers in the world, he should be doing much better!

At the end of the day, I don't rate him as a goalkeeper. I think his distribution and 'sweeper keeper' play are much better than his shot stopping and control of his box which are fundamental for a goalkeeper.

I believe he came into a Liverpool team that was on the up with argubly the strongest defence and central midfield in Europe in front of him at times... Sadly this has all changed and he is now being shown up to not be that good.

Look at Al-Habsi, he plays in a very poor Wigan side but makes numerous excellent saves every week. Nobody would say he is better than Reina but why not? Because Reina plays for Liverpool and is the Spanish number 2, so what? I don't think he has justified his place for a long time, pretty much since Rafa left.

El Habsi has plenty of shots in a game to look good,I can tell you it's a lot harder as a keeper to have fukk all to do and keep your concentration for 90 mins waiting for that one shot on goal which at the moment is unfortunately going in,but you'd know that and would have taken that into consideration ?

Absolutely it's not. Our priorities lie up front. We've lost to West Brom and Arsenal this season, and both games have followed the same pattern. We had been the best team (albeit, not by too much) until their first goal against the run of play. Goals change games, and had we got the first goal in those games, things may have been different. Pepe couldn't be blamed for the first goal in either case. Our forwards need to get their fingers out, as do our defenders - namely Martin Skrtel (who seems to be getting off very lightly) who has been very very poor and at fault for a lot of goals. Pepe has made a few mistakes, and that's rightly being pointed out, but I think a few of the fans on here are a bit unfairly lobsided on where they're pointing the blame.

When have we been a team that only gives away one shot on goal a game? That was about 4 years ago under Rafa when we were argubly the best team in Europe...

Reina's concentration is very poor at the moment, goals conceded against Hearts, the first against Man City and the second against Arsenal confirm this for me.

Rafa built his strategy from a compact defence, we won't lose if we don't concede philosophy so we had good defensive stats, BR plays the high possession up the field game, this is why we are exposed and look shaky at the back. This doesn't make Reina's life easier but he has been looking panicky for the last couple of years and making mistakes, he was much better when he came to LFC. Not sure we have anybody better right now though, haven't seen too much of them, so cannot say. The manager should know as he sees their play daily.

I don't think we have anyone better currently although we haven't seen enough of Doni to fully judge on that but Jones seems a little too nervous for me and not at Reina's level, even considering where he is at currently

During his first 3 seasons, when was superb, winning golden gloves and setting clean sheet records, who were our backup keepers that were keeping him on his toes?
