was really happy with the reception carroll got last night. he deserves it, its all been a bit of a mess surrounding him. he put in a fine display towards the end of last season.
i think the tattoo is more significant than people give it credit for. you dont write YNWA on your knuckles and then head to city.
as for stevie G, he was a lot better, and i really hope he proves me wrong. i would quite gladly eat that slice of humble pie.
suarez was electric. anyone who thinks he is not quality is a wum. What sort of a person would get anything inked onto their knuckles?!?! A bit classless, even in this day and age of 'trendy' tattoos. I can't see why their would be any fan 'backlash' if he is sold? IF he's sold it will be at a huge profit for someone who cannot be relied upon in terms of fitness. As long as BR replaces him and uses the money to strengthen the team I'd certainly have no problem at all if we sold him. And I'd be disgusted if he the rumours about him asking for an improved contract are true - he has averaged a paltry 17 games per season since he arrived, which is far worse than I thought. I always thought RVP was injury ravaged but he has averaged over 24 games per season. In fact Agger's injury record is even worse than Darren "Sicknote" Anderton's!!!! No great loss at all if he goes as it will mean we can get a stable, reliable defenseive unit together which is much better than changing the team every other week to accomodate Agger for a handful of games.

I watched them when Swansea were at Anfield last year and when we were at the Liberty Stadium on the last day of the season.
Yeah, last season we spent £100 million on average footballers and we look like we want the same type of player this season! Henderson, Adam, Downing and Carroll couldn't handle the step up so why should I believe that Allen and any others can?
Like I have said in all my posts, do you really believe that this type of signing will help us close the gap on Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd and City? I don't... I have a few friends who are lifelong, diehard Swansea fans - their opinion on Allen is that he's a decent player for a side like Swansea. He did well for them in the Championship but appears to struggle a bit with the step up to the premiership - bascially, he's a competent championship player. They heard on the grapevine, that towards the end of last season another premiership club were sniffing around and were quoted £5m, which they would have been more than happy to take. The rumour going around is that the club in question was Wigan. They, and many others, are very surprised that a club like Liverpool would be looking at him and cannot believe the money being mentioned. I'm not going to claim that I have watched JA play an awful lot but when I have watched him I've seen nothing special, and certainly nothing to suggest he is worth anywhere near £15m. The only positive is that if he does sign it should mean less games for Henderson. I'm sorry but that's complete bollox. Where abouts in Swansea do they live? I'm actually a season ticket holder at the Liberty stadium and I can re assure you that Joe Allen was a vital cog in that Swansea team last year. Your friends either don't exist or are absolutely clueless. Are you so insecure that you need to sledge others because of a differing point of view? I see it happening quite a bit. That's me, insecure. If people didnt talk sh!t then I wouldnt have to sledge them.
