If I had endless cash, I'd want to see a left winger a striker and a CAM come in for us. Obviously Liverpool don't have any where near that kind of money, but what's wrong with pipe dreams eh.
Sahin has been rubbish, not worth a spot in the team bar one game, I really think we are crying out for someone who can link forwards and mids. Often there is no one there to take advantage of space, support, or get into the box, he isn't the ideal candidate but when Shelvy has played at least he's there and actually should have scored twice vs Newcastle because of it. We miss someone in that role who can actually play it.
I think that's
slightly harsh. I've been a critic of Sahin, especially in the last few games, but I've seen him have at least 3 very good games for us, not just the one. Also in his defence, I've seen him make great forward runs on a number of occasions, getting himself into great positions to receive a pass for a goalscoring chance, only for Luis Suarez to choose to try do it all on his own. There was one game in particular where I saw that happening 2 or 3 times when Suarez should have squared it for him but didn't.
Overall though, he hasn't been anywhere near good enough, and a bit of a let down. We need a lot more from him. He needs to get stuck into games more. On this form, I certainly wouldn't want Rodgers to look into making the move a permanent one, especially if his price is going to be around the £15m mark. Hopefully we'll see more of his quality shine through in the next few months.
